Carissa Stephens has been captivating the screens of the natural hair community for years as one half of the YouTube vlog, NaturallyGG. And now, Carissa is stepping out on her own with her lifestyle blog, www.shescharissmatic.com. She describes it as a place to read all about her passions for travel, decor, DIY projects, hair, makeup, and of course FASHION! There's even a store where you can shop her favorite things.

Q: What does taking a leap of style, or a fashion risk mean to you? 

Carissa: To me, taking a leap of style means getting out of my comfort zone and displaying a style that is bold, beautiful and completely unique to who I am as an individual. It's making a statement and being a fashion trail blazer.

Q: What is your favorite thing about African print fashion?

Carissa: My favorite thing about wearing African prints is the intricate colors and patterns that can tell the story of a proud heritage. African prints speak to me and when I wear them I feel incredible!
