5 Ways to Wear African Prints this Summer

The temperature is climbing and all you can think of is what to wear on that summer vacay you've been planning. You want to be just the right mix of fashion #goals and laid back chic, but where do you turn? From shorts and dresses, to necklaces and bags, African prints add just the right touch of color, style, and fun for your summer look. We've rounded up some of our favorites in everything from traditional ankara to kente to indigo dyed pieces. Check out a few of our African print favorites to keep you looking cool during in the heat of summer!

1. Wrap it up in a jumpsuit

An ankara infinity jumpsuit gives you endless options for every activity you have planned this summer - from beach bum behavior to brunch. Tie the Boundless Infinity Jumpsuit anyway you like. You can get great coverage or show as much skin as you like depending on how you tie this piece!

2. Make a statement with a necklace

We love the jewelry line E. Turner Couture! Their pieces are bold and allow you to incorporate African prints effortlessly and without the stress of planning a whole outfit. Throw on your favorite sundress and this Kente & Wax Print Rope necklace to make a head turning statement.

3. Dress it up in a fit and flare dress

The Von Me Dress is our bestseller for a reason! This African print beauty can be dressed up or down and it's classic fit and flare style makes it perfect for any occasion. Throw it on with chucks or flat sandals and a hat for a casual look or dress it up with platforms or pumps to be date night ready. But don't let that summer breeze catch you off guard - unless you're into the Marilyn Monroe look!

 4. It's in the bag

The Smith from STATE is like a breath of fresh air to your bag collection. This beautifully constructed folder style bag features an indigo print that many might not know is considered an African print, but it is. The print is made with an indigo dye in a process similar to tie dying and the results are beautiful and timeless. Throw your flip flops and summer reads into this bag and head to the beach or take it on that weekend baecation!

5. Make it a short(s) story

Nothing screams summer like a pair of shorts and our Chrissy Shorts are just the right length to satisfy your summer needs. They've got a 5 inch inseam that you can roll for a shorter look or leave them long. Pair them with a fitted tee or a fun off the shoulder top to stay on trend or throw on a blazer and heels for a night on the town with the girls.
